Some ECNL clubs have already informed Q4s of which team they will moving to for spring.

Will all q4s be evaluated for national team or will NLq4s go to NL and RLq4s go to RL?
My q4 is a starter on the RL team. Quite sure she would be a starter on the NL team of her grade. I hope she gets a chance to prove herself.
What about Q4s that are on the bench of the NL team
Are they just shoo ins for the NL team? That wouldn't be fair to us RL Q4s.

Cut off dates will be important to specific kids and what team they make or not. In the grand scheme of soccer in the US, the cut off is irrelevant. US Soccer should re-examine their over all approach to identifying and developing top level youth players. Leaving it to for profit clubs and paying for extra sessions is the big picture problem that they need to solve. We are so focused on our individual kids that we accept this broken system. If we all put as much energy into demanding a better system as we have for debating this issue, then we may get a a true development system. However, I doubt that we will put forth the energy. The rest of the world will pass our women’s programs and both sexes will be irrelevant globally with 10 years.Comment

I don’t think all NL Q4s are shoo ins. 2010 Stars Blue has like 7 trapped players. Not all of them are shoo ins to make Blue National 2011. Unless Stars keeps 25 kids on the roster.Originally posted by Guest View PostComment

At our ECNL club all Q4s (national and regional) are being evaluated. Starters are most likely shoo ins for the Natl team. One of them will most likely stay on our team.Originally posted by Guest View Post
There are some good q4 players on the regional team that if added to our team will increase our place on the leaderboard. We have some q1s on our team that didn't belong. They should be replaced by the Q4s.
