What would the actual age brackets look like for 25-26? Trying to figure out which age groups would be 7 on 7 vs. 9 on 9?

I hope ECNL clubs roll it out this Spring to give teams a chance to test a season out. It will help coaches and directors better assess their needs at tryouts.
Also what fun is it anyway to play with teammates you know won't be back on the team? Yes, rip that bandaid.
I'm guessing the q4 starters on the regional teams will most likely make the national team of their grade i.e. year below
And all q4 players (regardless of starter or bench) on national team will make the national team of their grade i.e. year below.
Q4 bench warmers on national teams should be rejoicing.
q4 bench players on regional team remain a question mark. I hope they will be given a fair evaluation and not just relegated to the regional team of their grade i.e. year below.

I do think they do wait until fall though. How hard will it be for parents to have bough plane tickets, hotels etc to tournaments this spring to be told "oh wait your now on regional and are not going to those places". They will start fresh this fall.

Our ECNL club has no away (plane ride away) tournaments for Spring yet.
We have away league games but it is easy enough to cancel hotel bookings. And which idiots book hotels 4 months in advance?
It is smart to roll it out in Spring. Fall teams will be strong and deep

They don't have to displace a current kid on that team for spring it just integrates the new player into the fold. Ideally there will be similar numbers of players moving between the ages so the Q4 player will be replacing another Q4 player who also dropped down.

No way a team with 18 currently moves 2 or 3 2010's on their team without complete upheaval of the current team.
You would hope clubs care about their players wellbeing but it seems that if this does change for the spring you will see how many they kick to the curb.

But you probably think you know better than the Coach You think your superstar 2012 Sep born Mia can play with 8th graders next year even though coach doesn't think so?
Good luck going behind your club's back.
And what are you going to do for her 8th grade fall season? And her 10th, 11th and 12th grade years?
Hard to reason with idiots like yourself..

My club is rolling it out in spring. I think it's smart. That gives us enough time to make changes for Fall.

They think their player is too good to be playing on their own grade team (even though their player is the bench) and so they will shop around.
If their player was that good, the coach will keep their player on current team but they will go behind the coach's back because they think they know better.
They will also try to hardball current coach. Any coach (worth their balls) will tell them to take a hike.
