College insider on X saying it’s not a done deal many still split on the idea of changing back. Obviously ECNL wants to change things back will they do it without USSF?

Posters immediately noted that ECNL couldn’t/wouldn’t go it alone and the motivation was doubtful for the governing bodies to join in the change. Now we have an insider post about an imminent vote that literally said the exact same thing. 4 months of circle jerking about to come to a conclusion. Either way this ends, I’m glad it’s ending.

ECNL has already stated they would not do this without the majority of governing bodies which they have US Club as an ally. You could tell from the last podcast there are people rejecting the idea because they don’t want to deal with the mess it will create. Not saying they are right or wrong. But if US Club can get USYS to join their side then it will happen. If not then more then likely won’t unless ECNL and us club decide to go rogue. Which they stated they could do but wouldn’t want to.

ECNL will do grade year even if no other leagues follow. ECNL teams will only play league games, ECNL showcases, and an ECNL bracket in other tournaments like the Surf Cup.

They've said they wont. But - I could see ECNL doing something different on the girls side vs boys side if that becomes a sticking point

If ECNL does the switch it will be for both boys and girls. They were fighting an uphill battle to get the change to happen I would say ecnl has the high ground at this point by getting others to go along with what they want. But it’s still a battle and a winner won’t be decided for another month or two.
