I am in the same scenario right now, it’s demotion to B team not cut. I have been working with her and she’s making big strides in technical and tactical. Problem is the club, coaches, and teammates are not ready for the acceleration of skill because it cuts against their current plan. It will take years for her to see the payoff like you have. I know because my July born son is two years ahead of her with these issues and changing clubs hasn’t mattered. Until puberty, I expect them to be overlooked because they are taller, later born players. They watch soccer on TV and go to games in person probably twice the rate of their teammates. No matter how much more about the game they know, it still comes down to the slight difference in speed of play provided by relative age bias. Even if the decisions they make are more frequently correct than their teammates.

Doesn’t matter what you think. It’s about making things better for the colleges and high school kids during recruiting time. Secondary it addresses the trapped 8th graders.

Not until its all official. Until then its complete conjecture and speculation.

Does anyone with insight have an estimated timeframe for when a public announcement will happen (other than that random Twitter account). Before the fall season? Not until mid season? Anyone know specifics? Have club officials been notified to begin prepping for it, or is it more word of mouth at this point?

But you’re 1,000,000% ok with the “November kiddos” playing with kids way older than them AND losing TWO seasons of play. Please save the insincerity.

There’s no indication saying this is real 0. In fact someone commented who knows solar folks said this is fake news, which it likely is.

From what I have heard there is no chance of an age cut off change in the next 3 years. Also as a long time college asst, I never found it a problem having the age and grades not lined up and can't remember ever hearing other coaches complain (not saying 100% don't care, but surely not a major widepsread issue). We often got a bigger stipend to attend more games which was fantastic.

Translation: I don't want this to happen so I am going to assume the anonymous person posting that it will is a loon at the same time I assume the anonymous person posting they are related to the people that own Solar is 100% authentic.

I don't know if it will happen or not but I do know that the people who run ECNL have been talking about it a lot publically. To me that puts more weight on the side of it's happening than a TS persons sisters cousins uncles former roommate who owns ECNLs top club.

It's really the perfect storm for speculation since it involves so many different stakeholders. And yes solar guy - I heard from PF & PDA it's happening (but I just made that up like you did).

A solar guy will say anything to get the job.

And yes, a lot of parents coddle their kids and let them quit because of this feeling of intimidation. Lots of parents today do this. That point supports my POV that BY causes more trapped kids to not play the sport.
                            They don’t quit.

What happens is that in U6-U9 a parent in grade 2-4 asks who’s interested in doing club with their little Mia. A handful of girls decide to do club… but then they find out their classmate and friend Ally wouldn’t be on the same team.

Ally would have to play up with strangers. Ally was just looking to play with her friends and doesn’t want to play professional. So Ally doesn’t sign up.

You are a peach if a dad. You can teach 8 year old kids to work hard at many things without making them pursue a sport that their own parent thinks they sucked at.

Ehh all conjecture and again if ally liked the sport and her parents weren’t pansy then they would find her a place to play. If you need 2-4 other kids for ally to play soccer then it’s good she goes to dance or something.
