Any clue as to what time the meeting ends today? I'm curious as to the o/u when the info leaks. Before 12am EST tonight or after?

A mandate isn’t important if 98% of kids fall into a scenario. That scenario is how the proposals were built. You are one of the few in this scenario nationwide. I don’t know how you got there, but it’s unnatural.

How long did it take you to make up the 98% number? If not the norm, it's normal for summer born kids to start kindergarten the summer they turn 6.

It's not the norm, but it's not mandated, either. If there's a cut off max date it would have to be 12/31 of prior year. But the main point is that there is no max cut off date in the summer and those kids can start kindergarten at 6 and graduate as 18 years old.
for further evidence, look at the current soccer rosters. 2010 falls are trapped 8th graders, balance of 8th graders are 2011s. All turned or will turn 14 during the school year (or in the case of summer birthdays, prior to next school years start). There aren’t 2010 summer and spring trapped players, and there aren’t 15 yo 8th graders. Except for a rare kid held back.

If it's not universal across the country, then let them play with their grades. And kids that started earlier can play with their grades too. If your club doesn't let them stay with their grades, then they are most likely better served playing with the grade below (even if it hurts parental ego).

Now that it's been established that the cut off dates are not what you think they are, you all are reverting to anecdotal evidence. My anecdotal evidence is different than yours. I know plenty of June-August kids that started kindergarten when they turned 6. Maybe it's because my kids are younger than yours, maybe not. There was a lady on the previous page with a 2008-2009 I believe.
