Instead of focusing on if and whether, the discussion should be when and how.
When?
As early as spring or as late as fall?
How?
All Aug to Dec players (NL + RL) get placed on national teams?
What about those NL players who refuse to be placed on their grade level NL teams because they think they will be playing "down"?
If they are allowed to stay on the older grade team, what happens to them later when they have the problems the change is trying to mitigate?
Talking to many RL parents, many have the view they wont stay with their team/club because they think their kid can make an NL team the cohort below. Some will and some wont. It will be interesting to see.

Are you saying that there will be very few q4 NL players that will be okay playing on their grade year team?
What do you mean by

once they realize its not just them playing with and against the birth year team below.

Well you are pretty upset for someone who has kids that are not impacted. You have no idea if the parents here are RL or NL. Trapped players on ECNL teams want this as badly as any other level. I think you are just looking to reach 300 posts

So trapped players want to stay on their current teams but they want to move to their grade teams only for 8th grade fall and recruitment / showcase years.
Why should clubs make this exception for just trapped players. All players if they can ball with the grade above should be allowed to. Trapped players are no longer special thanks to the change

People use ulittle here in such a derogatory way, as if they never had kids of that age playing and weren't just annoying of parents then as they are now.
