Same guy. Reading through these posts, it becomes pretty clear, based on his writing style, which posts are his. He clearly has some sort of rage bo ner for Q1-3 parents and their kids. Pretty weird stuff.

BTW, as an actual parent of a good Q4 kid, we and the others I've talked to, are not excited by this move like you pretend to be. We know our girls have benefitted from playing with and against older girls and, if the change is made, will not get the same level of competition. I doubt we are outliers.

Phone calls, texts, practices, you name it. Which, as has been pointed out, is in clear violation of ECNL rules. But, these parents insist, their kids are going to be so good, generational really, once the change is made, the ECNL clubs are willing to take the risks.

Now, we all know this is an anonymous forum and people can say whatever they want without repercussion. It also makes it difficult to determine when someone is posting BS as multiple people. And, I have no solid proof that these are the same person. But, I noticed something about these posts. It's subtle, but I think damning.

"Recruiters are already sniffing around." ... "Coaches are actively sniffing around".

I know that's a somewhat common expression. But, two different dads, both of whom happen to Q4 wunderkids in high demand for multiple ECNL clubs, despite potential ECNL violations, and both of whom use the same expression to describe coaches and recruiters? Seems a bit too coincidental to me...
I posted the second one and am aware of the ECNL rules. To be clear, I didnt suggest there is any tampering going on. Not one has said "any interest in moving clubs" or anything like that. Its just been a bit more "friendly" reach out about my daughter. Some of these are coaches that she has done privates with, are coaches at my other kids GA club (who do actively tamper) or I've come across in the past because they were at one of my kids clubs. She tried out for a couple of NL teams 2 years ago. She's guested with one of them one winter. I have every single one of these coaches numbers in my phone, so its not weird for me to talk to them. I have 3 kids in 3 different clubs (thank god for carpools). They've all been at a different club at some point. Like i said, there are a TON of clubs accessible where i live (9-10 ECNL & GA teams within 90 minutes, depending on traffic) so there is a lot of crossover.

I also didn't say they will be any sort of a wunderkid, but a starter on a higher level RL team is probably attractive to an NL team a year down. Or maybe not. I dont know. The point is that these coaches are all very aware of what's happening and planning for it. I was using the "sniffing around" phrase agreeing with the other poster.

It's because Mass parents are elitist snobs and the ECNL teams their kids play on aren't nationally competitive.

Its fun to torture them on things they care about but cant control with $$$ or connections.

Except the 8th grade team who were national semifinalists.

Even that is a violation of ECNL rules and if it’s discovered your child is at risk of a 1 year ban.

You’ve obviously never seen an ECNL game have you? Good luck to your small RL Mia.

When has a player ever received a ban?

                    Every single good team recruits.

ECNL rules are very clear on this. Your player gets caught you can receive a 1 year ban.

It’s actually not. Not even close. I know exactly what is in the Club loyalty rule (2.13). Speaking to coaches at other clubs is not prohibited. No one invited her to try out or otherwise “promoted” their club. Asking after her is perfectly acceptable. And there is nothing prohibiting kids from doing private training or camps with coaches from other clubs.

I find this entire part of the thread confusing. Every club hosts kids from other clubs at their practices from January through May. Team rosters are 100% filled with current players AND players from other clubs before tryouts even happen. This is routine at every single club in every single league.

A player can reach out to the club and initiate that guest practice session. Clubs cannot be the one to initiate it. In reality, clubs do initiate it but rarely in a provable way. Smart ones avoid emails or texts and have all of those 'illegal' conversations without documentation that they initiated the conversation.
