The issue with Aztecs is around the parents. They had/have an inflated opinion of their kid's abilities and can't understand why there weren't people knocking on their door. They wanted all the perks that come with these leagues, but not the effort involved. I don't blame the kids, I blame the parents.

Who is ripping anyone in front of their kids? It's clear Aztecs parents have an falsely inflated view of their situation and when others pointed out the obvious, there is a noticeable tightening of their panties. Why can't you just let your kids play where they want, and accept that vs. shoe-horning a situation that doesn't exist for them?

What is this falsely inflated view that upsets you so much? I have a friend whose daughter is a senior in HS playing on a rec team. She regularly shares how her games go. She’s excited and proud of her daughter. Do you think I should “put her in her place” because my daughter is a better player in a better league? Of course not. I just say yay! Good for her. I’m secure enough to not have to tear other people down. I don’t care if she thinks her daughter is heading to Paris to play this summer. Doesn’t affect me or reality in the slightest. How sad and insecure do you have to be to feel the need to tell Aztec parents their kids aren’t as good as they think? Get a life.

It's the internet. If you have an inflated view of one's self, people will certainly let you know.

Aztecs has been a nonentity for its entire existence. Nobody cared a bit about them, but now that they have closed their doors forever, people are finally talking about them. Sad, really. Just another club ruined by 3Step. Maybe Seacoast will be next.
