Why does it have to stop? It’s business 101. Reduce redundant costs.

3step just lost all their top teams and top players in the north shore. They have also lost the entire girls Aztec North region and every girls player in that region. I do not see them reducing costs,I see them losing $100’s of thousands of dollars in revenue. Not exactly business 101

In addition to losing Aztec players, isn’t Seacoast ma expected to lose a large number of girls to other clubs?

yep, 2010s dismantled and younger age groups are flocking too. hard sell saying they have to move the Weymouth to join their top teams when select and other clubs are down there, dumb move by seacoast

Maybe SSS might pick them up. Aren’t they trying to build boys teams?

They have now also lost the Aztec North boys and removed the entire region from their website. 21 teams from girls and boys…gone to other clubs not owned by 3Step. Business 101? Sounds like they need to study harder.

Also, on the boys side, the top NAL teams in Massachusetts are mainly compromised of metrowest players, not south shore. No one wants to go to Weymouth during rush hour. Nefc and bolts are way more convenient.

Nefc NAL is out of Mendon and Northboro. Definitely not convenient for most. Bolts and IFA are the most convenient for those in the Metro region

For a variety of reasons - no real economies of scale, coaches are mobile, lack of access to the top leagues - PE/corporate ownership of clubs is a stupid bet. But I can promise you the fact that the referees are paid by 3Step doesn't matter in the slightest in terms of how games are officiated. The number of refs who know that 3Step owns US Officials AND a few clubs is very small, and there is certainly no way that favorable decisions would ever benefit them. If anything a compromised officiating group would be bad business for 3Step.

Are you aware of the term "logical fallicies"? We lost and the ref was bad = 3Step is influencing refs? My god, man, get a grip. I mean any chance, I dunno, that there's a ref shortage and the quality of reffing is down across the board? Across pretty much all sports? Hate to break it to you, but the reason the ref was bad is because there are a lot of bad refs out there today. Good ones don't want to put up with your crap on the sidelines. So as a result, the refs are just terrible in general

I'm no fan of 3Step and agree that there's an inherent conflict of interest in owning the ref organization and clubs at the same time, but pull yourself together.
