I could see Bolts East boys wanting to move to avoid the ECRL travel, but what does SSS offer them? EDP is the best they can do. No MLS or NAL. EDP has less travel than ECRL, but probably not the level of comp some of those teams would be looking for.

Also all the SSS people who love them so much. Why don’t they have their own complex with multiple fields and etc. All they have is this crappy run down indoor facility.

Bolts are falling apart. The club is in shambles. With Ainscough now at SSS, this is an obvious play. Don’t pretend you’re surprised.

They've been a quality ECRL club and have been trying to get full ECNL. I would think Bolts having MLS, even though out of Mt Ida and not Weymouth, is still a sticking point for giving Bolts East ECNL Boys. That said, ECNL desperately needs a few new Boys clubs in MA. Moving to SSS where the girls are already ECNL might make it easy for ECNL to give a badge to the boys (assuming they really do get whole teams from Bolts East). Doubtful it would be for next year though, probably a year in NECSL or EDP before they can give SSS ECRL even, so there's that.

IFA, Bolts, Select, Seacoast, Mass City, Stars, anyone else I’m missing who plays on the south shore - all of them at Union point .

The beginning of the end for the Bolts! A nice little run for a few years, but thats it. It will be fun to watch all those crazy Bolts parents scrambling soon. #popcornready

Could they lose the south shore region? Possibly but Bolts as a whole will be fine.

The South shore region is just the south shore region without pulling from all over. It’s by far the strongest region within the club and as they just posted have over 600 players registered for tryouts. So losing potential 600 players from bolts would be a huge dent to the Bolts business.
