Any word on whether or not the regional players currently showing up for the national tryouts received those regional offers last week?
Not all regional players received offers.

The ones at national tryouts or the ones at the bottom of the roster?

White regional gave offers last week to some of the team. Blue regional has held off on offers until tonight. The invited ones are being evaluated tonight. Some of the blue regional players will be heading to National. Some of the national players being cut and only offered regional spots. The top of blue regional is better than some of the white and current blue national.

A couple Blue Regionals will get White National offers. Remainder will get Blue Regional offers.

Most white regional 2010s got offers. Top of blue regional, ones that were invited to national (only 4) may have received blue regional offers with option to upgrade if getting national offers. 75% of regional blue have not received offers yet. It’s all supposed to happen tonight but was supposed to happen Monday. It’s a mess. National blue and white are the puzzle to solve. After that the regional blue offers will be sent out.

How many will they keep on a National Roster. I know older ages can get into the 20s but what about younger ages, no player pool just actual roster.

Do offers mention how many players rostered? If your kid is in the 18 if there’s more or if your kid is a practice player?

                        Call the coach and ask.

When thinking about roster size, it's worth understanding that ECNL, ECRL and GA play a lot of games over the season. There's a long stretch between February and June of 2-game weekends for league play and 3-game weekends for showcases.

If a player is coming from DPL or similar, with 1 game per weekend, roster size needs are not directly comparable.

For high school age, yes, that's true. But it's not true for younger ages in ECNL. Their league season is basically three weekends each in the fall/spring, with one other random day for blue v white. An 18-person roster is just too big for a middle school ecnl team. Even the middle third of the roster doesn't really get enough playing time to develop over the course of the season with so few games. Next year may be slightly better with the addition of one other team in the conference.

My D got offers from a club competing in NAL as well as an offer from ECNL regional white. Which should we choose?

                                Ecnl regional because
                                1. Less travel
                                2. Pathway to ECNL national.
                                3. Ecnl is guaranteed to be around next year.
