Same-external player waiting wondering if Stars communication is always this bad. What a turn off.

The communication has clearly stated that offers will not start until after today’s tryout session. You can complain about the slow decision but the communication has been crystal clear.

It seems Stars knows the 2010 group had to fix some issues with coaching, player favoritism etc. Now that SM is gone a serious reshuffle between blue and white can finally happen giving the blue team the top current talent. Some parents happy some not. The frustration lies with the addition of a third tryout date, tonight, for the CFC and NEFC players to be looked at as well as the invite of the regional players (some). Seems like stars may not be just switching the white / blue players for consolidation, but moving up regional players, and adding out of club players. This causes stress amongst currently rostered bubble players as they are unsure where they will land and if dropped to regional will likely walk and play for Scorpions or Select.

Which age group? Stars is doing more national tryouts tonight. Regional players were expecting offers by now but national tryouts took presedence. Causing unnecessary stress amongst teams. Some of the stars national players fed up with club catering to out of club players needs causing more tryouts. Stars should Finalize regional and national rosters asap or they will lose players who have been waiting. The coaches know who they want make the offers already. Rumors of national rosters having 20 players which mean two won’t dress per week. If your kid is offered a spot be sure to ask how many rostered and if your kid is in the top 11 or a sub, or a practice player with no games.

Getting fed up and threatening to leave is fruitless. Where are you going to go? Stars knows they hold the cards.

My d is ulittle. No skin in this game. Yet.
I have olders so I get the process.

Parents need to always remind their players that they need to constantly improve. Never assume your position isn't up for grabs. And don't rely on just the coach's trainings. Also if you have to bribe your child to train independently, then her clock is ticking.

And always try out. At u15+, coaches / clubs have no loyalty to players as their focus is on wins and if your d can't get the team there, then yes she'll be cut. Even if your d is a starter, try out. You just never know if a unicorn will come along and displace her.

This is not any different from businesses shaving their bottom 5% annually.

Bubble players from stars will be regional for scorpions or Select at this point. You were warned to start earlier.

My daughter was planning on going to the tryout on May 28th. Should she not? Is there no chance players can make a team going to a tryout?

not even at scorpions. Bubble players are probably going to regional. There's a reason both teams failed to make playoffs. Even the starters aren't great Just really good.

maybe 1-2 spots across both teams. for a unicorn only.

don't count on an honest evaluation during late tryouts. They are mostly interested in filling lower team empty spots. will try to talk you down to that level like a used car salesman.
