big seacoast numbers at Surf tryouts, especially on the girls side. 2012s,2011 and 2010 are seacoast Boston imploding or moving south?

Daughter has offers with NAL, ECNL Regional (New England) and GA teams. Which is the best choice for a kid who wants to play in college?

What level college? Unbiased, how good is she? Where does she stack up against peers on each team? Too many variables for a blanket answer.

Depends on age. If she is 16+, GA. If she is younger, GA may be dead before she is in recruitment period.

How is GA going to be dead? They are expanding...

GA won’t be dead but won’t be the go to for college scouts. ECRL players (from strong New England teams, not Northeast) will likely be seen through the eyes of college scouts as equal. Not for current high school players, but upcoming.

My daughter was in the same boat, minus the NAL offer. She opted to go with the ECRL (NE). All the changes within the leagues had her thinking she should stick to what she knows.

I would do GA unless it is the bottom most GA and you have an offer from the top most ECRL team, and even then I would still think hard about it

Only NAL (which my daughter is in), if it will be GA in a year or so (hard to be 100% sure)

Which situation has the most access to female college coaches either on staff or via networking. Who you know matters.

Too many unknowns with NAL. Right now, I don't see it as a good pathway.

The one with teammates who play at a high level and a good coach. That's how she will learn to play well, without that nothing else matters. The tie-breaker, if needed, is the strength of competition.

That is, a weak GA team may be worse for her than a very good ECRL1 team.

high level team mates, a good coach and the coach who puts in effort to get them in good tournaments - perfect situation

Both of kids must be really good if they had offers from several teams, especially at the GA level. Did they attend practices with all those teams or just ID clinics? It generally takes several practices for a coach at the GA level to offer a roster spot to a player. They must have had to miss many practices with their current teams to be able to attend all those sessions, ID clinics, etc. I have a daughter that played ECRL and GA and in my opinion GA as a league is at a completely different level. In New England, GA is at the ECNL level. We will see if that changes when SSS leaves next year.
