    GA getting desperate

Just saw on their FB page they added DUSC to league play? Is GA just letting anyone in now? It’s an PITA to get to their fields and it’s surrounded by trash. It’s gross. Someone explain the reason they would add a team that has zero chance of winning any games in this league with no proven track record? GA now a laughing stock with their recent additions.

How does the Coaches List look for the upcoming GA event?

DUSC is where NWSL Gotham plays their 2nd teams.

GA added DUSC likely because they want everything in place when NWSL Next is rolled out.

Way better clubs are getting blocked by member clubs to protect their business!

For the one this weekend I counted about ~70 D1 Schools that will be there. I'd imagine another 20-30 d1 schools will probably be added at some point this week, or will attend but not have their name on the list.

While definitely a step down from ECNL events, it still remains a great platform to be seen: especially for the girls on the better GA teams. It sucks for the better teams, like NEFC, STA and CSA Monmouth(in the Northeast), that the quality is getting so watered down. It will be interesting to see how these event numbers change next year with GA teams likely on a whole getting weaker and many of the newly admitted ones being poor.

better teams in NAL. Here are the average standings for each team and the W-L-T
1.17 30-2-4 NJ Premier FC NJ Premier
              3.33 16-7-7 STA STA-MUSC GA NAL
              4.00 16-9-2 FC Somers Celtic
4.50 16-20-6 DUSC DUSC HS Select
4.67 13-16-7 Chelsea Piers SC Brugge
5.17 11-15-4 STA Mount Olive Soccer Club STA MOSA NAL
              5.67 9-24-11 Long Island SC LISC GA2
6.17 7-25-5 New York SC NYSC GA II

My guess is that the 2 NJ teams at the top do NOT want to be in The Northeast division and are waiting for the GA to open a new conference in 2025. It seems that NJ Premier got "Girls Academy Event Status" for next year (I guess it means what is says) http://njpremier.org/article-3

So you're trying to make the arguement that less coaches will attend because there's more players to watch?

                Come on, listen to yourself.

Or NJ Premier got blocked by other clubs in NJ? Didn’t have Surf a comparable record?

                    Which Surf? Rhode Island?

NJ Surf is pretty low level but Surf just bought Match Fit in NJ and they are very ECNL/ECRL aligned

Listen to what? You're making an argument that I never said. My point is that the week before tournaments, the lists of attending coaches often gets added to pretty substantially. Not sure how any of that relates to what you're saying.

Please, please, please think about that statement. Do you think coaches are looking for quality or quantity? Less coaches will show, not because they are concerned that there would be fewer players but because they are concerned that there are fewer good players. And the few good players that may be there will be playing against cones. There is so little to be learned by a coach in that scenario that they will choose not to go. The few good clubs haven’t left yet, nor has the flood of cones arrived yet, but the coach count has already dropped. Writing is on the wall folks.

I do not think any NJ teams got added. GA for NJ is kind of painful because the north half is GA Northeast and the south half is Mid Atlantic (so the longest travel for both of them)

Is NJ premier that good, or all of those teams that bad? Seems like they are absolutely destroying the competition?
