Maybe after tryouts? We’ve heard only a couple girls from outside club (more CT girls maybe?) have been added so there is probably room on the roster if blue wants to add.

Some really talented girls on that team but think they could benefit from a more few strong defenders as they go 11v11. White seems to have a few players that would fit the bill.

I don’t know that there’s a “rush” but it makes sense to start building the strongest team now. By the time high school rolls around the team will be strong already and have been playing together for a few years. Just taking the strongest from each and combining them at U15 doesn’t necessarily mean it will immediately be “the best “ team. You can have a team of very talented players that don’t play as a team and cannot get much accomplished. The longer they have to develop and grow together the better.

Why wait? What good is it for player #1 on White to be practicing against player #18 on White when they could be practicing against player #1 on Blue.

This age group starts real soccer this year. There will be significant changes to Blue and White ECNL rosters by u15/u16. These teams will change every year—it’s just a question of how much.

Why wait? What good is it for player #1 on White to be practicing against player #18 on White when they could be practicing against player #1 on Blue.

Exactly. If your kid has hopes of being on the A team in the next few years, why not make the switch now? Traditionally blue will only take 3-6 top players from white at the time it truly becomes the A team. Making the move sooner than later will likely increase their odds. In the 2010 age group, where next year they are taking more white players than is typical, the coach of white did not want his best players to go to blue sooner resulting in 2 watered down teams that didn’t make the playoffs.
