Why would Seacoast MA put top teams in DPL? This doesn’t make sense, as it would be going against their owners, 3 Step. DPL is also trash and most of the best teams have left. The answer is that maybe Seacoast MA is looking for a league that they can claim is elite while not actually facing elite competition. Seacoast MA is really bad and they are desperately trying to keep it together with smoke, mirrors, and lots of duct tape. Combining with terrible LFC girls is a good example. 2 bad clubs full of bang average players. This is what the DPL. DPL is the Ocean State Job Lot of leagues right now. The home of misfits, extras, and unwanteds.

Nobody is losing anything to DPL and ECRL2. They are the junk yards of the girls soccer landscape right now.

Disagree. DPL, NAL, ECRL (1 and 2) is a fractured landscape on the second tier. Depending on your view, GA might be here too now. None of them is that much better or worse than the other. Each of these leagues has a couple 2-3 teams that are solid and plenty that aren't. None of them is great. I don't see NAL as any worse than the others. As has been said many times, it's too bad all those teams aren't in one 2d tier league. It would be an outstanding 2nd tier. Sadly, it's never going to happen so families pick the team that works for them. Some have closer locations, some have less league travel, some have better coaches. Got to just decide what works for you. Don't kid yourself that any of them is the perfect option. And posts on here that pick one or the other to trash have ulterior motives.

Most of the decent NAL teams won’t be back. SSS 3rd team, Seacoast MA/Liverpool second team (when the current first teams are bad), Seacoast NH’s second teams who are terrible. Sounds awful. Scrap it and make it a division in NECSL so at least the best teams can get promoted without a “license”. No one should need a license for that. Move them all to NECSL, put the top NECSL teams in a top flight, and end the madness of NAL.
