If you thought nefc players were going to run, that's nothing compared to surf players. Get out ASAP. No wonder they've been showing up to other club practices...

If it's true that NES is joining ECRL northeast, then no, they can't stay in DPL.

But like all ts rumors, it's not true

DPL can be their second team. Just like it is for NEFC and Seacoast.

That makes no sense. The New England ECRL teams are attached to a ECNL team as was the original purpose. The teams can travel for matches together, players can be swapped for a given match, and so on. Obviously the ECRL team would never be "moved into ECNL," since the club could swap the entire rosters if it really came down to that.

Does a parent have an email to confirm this rumor or is this sideline chatter? Nothing official released yet. i’m not saying this is untrue as i think NE Surf is just as good if not better than Scorpions.

Yeah they are. But not quite as much as surf.

Is there a pathway for NES to become a member of ECNL? How many years do they need to play in ECRL before they can play in ECNL?

There isn't a pathway, and that has been made clear to them. This is a suicide move by NES, but it was rock and a hard place. GA told them they would never get membership because of the GPS ties and lawsuits still pending.

ECNL didn’t care about the lawsuits or ties to GPS?

If true, solid move for New England Surf. All this talking about ECNL, GA, blah blah. It’s an extremely small % of local girls playing quality minutes on these top teams. Kudos to those little superstars though - all love. Go get it and rep MA soccer on the national stage. I’ll be a fan no matter what crest you rock. The majority of our daughters who have more modest career soccer goals (or excel at multiple sports), will do well having another competitive club option in better proximity to our Boston region. I’d much rather have her play for a NES top team vs sitting in traffic for an hour to play on a ECNL/GA “B team”. In reality you aren’t even playing under that badge. The powerhouse clubs second, third teams will also benefit having some very competitive local games on the schedule.

There was a call with their top Navy teams’ families. So it is true. I heard that the boys side are moving too. Where are they going? ECRL to join the Stars and Bolts?

Yes, NE Surf families got notified about this move and RI Surf is moving to GA.
