Currently Stars has the best coaches. The best coaches want to be part of ECNL not GA.

Coaches want to be a part of whatever club/league pays them the most

Ideally sure but 1) coaches can change both inside a club or departures 2) other factors can outweigh just the coaching like better team/league/challenge fit, playing time, even price and location matters to some families. My kids first club coaches were fantastic but at some point they wanted and needed more challenges.

No club will have a stable full of top notch coaches that will all be good with all players. However some have more horses in the stable than others. Be very leary of club that only has 1-2 you'd be happy with and the rest terrible.

For what it's worth.... I bet that 30 years from now your kids will remember those first club coaches more than any other ones they had afterwords, although sure those first coaches at some point just didn't provide what you were looking for.

My D will always remember her first coach. Bad coach, inexperienced, poor emotional management, didn’t deal with the girls who passed to their friends only so would lose winnable games, or deal with their parents who banded together (then later left). A couple of wasted years it took a while to overcome.

They also want to succeed at coaching, or at least look like they are. So that means having good players. It’s mostly about who has the horses. So the top teams at NEFC, Surf, etc are more appealing than stars white or stars ECRL.

I'll never understand players or parents that behave like that. Especially when it causes you to lose games.

One league’s garbage is another’s treasure

South Valley Surf was iced out of both ECNL and GA but just ignored the nonsense and kicked butt in NPL and E64. Their rankings are very high for teams that never get a chance to play against teams from the big leagues.

This is a very good add for GA.
