My daughters have both played ECNL since there first year so i have experience seeing many matches at showcases and league tournaments. ECNL has definitely “jumped the shark” when they started admitting inferior clubs and players into ECNL. Here you have a parent talking about an inferior GA but those are the inferior clubs that ECNL are admitting to their supposed superior league. They may be top GA clubs but once they start playing ECNL for the most part there drop is noticeable and dramatic. Watching these inferior clubs trying to compete against the better ECNL clubs is sad. More than anything else the speed of play is just too much for these clubs. You cannot label ECNL an “A” league when these clubs have jut diluted the level of play, the competitiveness of matches and competition. -

no need to justify it - Everyone on these threads know that the ECNL parents will immediately disparage anything the GA does. Unlike the GA parents who readily admit the ECNL is a great league and routinely wish them well - it just shows the difference in level of class between the 2 groups. Do you know what a B league is ? Analogy; NBA vs G league. No G league team would beat an NBA team in a game ( if they could the owner would replace them). In MA alone ( this is a MA thread right?) between the 6 divisions it is probably split 3 ECNL to 3 GA for top spot and I would bet every game would be close. I am not talking showcase (where every plays)but real game (i know it will never happen so it is just conjecture). But you keep parading that patch because you have 3 ECNL girls at Stanford.
