Can someone explain why the Revs don't have a u16 team? I've seen some players scattered around clubs in MA/NH from their last season u15, do they bring these players back for the next season? or they build a new team with the U16s that are playing U17 right now?

The way I understand it is that by u15 they really start to narrow their focus on players and their potential, so for a u16 to be “worth” keeping around they need to be good enough to play up with u17 at that age. The best u17’s are already playing Revs 2. I believe they carry a u17 player pool of over 20, but a number of u15’s definitely get cut every year, by design.

Also by u17, they have a better idea who might be a first team possibility. So at u17 they will cut kids loose if they know there isn’t a possibility of them playing professionally within the Revs. (ie u16s may make it over “better “ u17s if they are still monitoring the u16s, especially for late bloomers)
