    National Letter of Intent?

Tomorrow is NLI Signing day for soccer. What athletes are signing? Do all committed athletes sign tomorrow? D1? D2? D3? Ivy?

I think you have a week to return it but that may be school dependent. Also assumptions that school has been in contact and you know what you are getting

Only athletes receiving athletic $ sign. That means only D1 and D2.

Some people get all worked about the other who "faux" sign. One, no one cares about the differences, not tour family or neighbors or classmates. 2) the kids have still worked hard to get there and are proud, as are their clubs and high schools

My kid is signing today. Basically just a letter committing to the school and them to you. Scholarship and school registration/admission has already been completed. This is the final step in committing, also a social media opportunity for the kid and school.

You can't say no one cares, because I care I had one sign an NLI, and I had one stand proudly behind those who were. Both made the picture and both were in the paper.
I agree that everyone committed to college athletics has reason to be proud and should stand, sit, or sign with pride. There is no pride in a lie, and you can't convince me otherwise.

No NLI, No pen. pretty simple.

Just because your kid is getting book money to play doesn't make them superior. At the heart of it that's why you care.

Is this a D1/2 NLI or a D3 Celebratory Letter? Sounds like D1/2 given Scholarship and Admission are complete

This where your insecurity is showing through. There was no inference of "superior" in my statement. Just truth.

the real question is why do you feel "inferior" because she isn't holding a pen. Why are you trying to keep up with something you claim isn't important to you.

One is real. the other is fake. Why choose fake?

                  Not superior

Just one is signing a contractual agreement. One is holding a pen and doing so they won’t feel left out

                    Only D1/D2
Ivy will offer a Likely Letter in early fall of Senior Year and prohibits any public claims beyond "Commitment to the Application Process"

D1 but doesn’t matter. Cool experience for her. Don’t care what division you decide to play in, enjoy the moment, celebrate with you friends and family, reflect on the time you spent together on your journey. Today was a great moment for her to put a bow on her last 12-13 years and celebrate with the people who have been with her since the first kick. Go ahead and sign, take pics, hug and enjoy…it doesn’t matter where your next destination is, today was a celebration of the time and work put in to get there.

There's no place on Talking Soccer for such a common sense post.

Exactly, all are invited, all should be proud and all deserve the accolades. None should feel they have to lie

Ugh. I can't believe you are still commenting on D1 vs D3 NLI signings. Unreal. Get a life. I truly believe you wait every year to go to TS and express your opinion on this topic. My kid went D1...simply did an Instagram post where no one was holding a pen. My nephew went D1 and did the same thing. No one is trying to convince you otherwise...and no one cares about your archaic opinion about holding a pen.

My D3 kid did the photo op holding a crayon
