My kid is on MLS Next and I don’t know. Who knows that needs to know?

Second this. It's ridiculous at this point.

To the apologist who thinks this isn't a problem... As you would know, the MLS Next website literally has a heading "Schedule", which when clicked says "2023/24 schedule coming soon" - as it's said for over a month at this point. This isn't a case of "the league doesn't publish schedules and standings" -- they are just too dysfunctional to get it sorted.

I guess I’m confused. Who is the arbiter of who needs to know the schedule. I feel that I need the schedule. Is there an application process that I should go through with the almighty schedule judge?

By the way, I’m a college assistant coach. I need to watch games as part of my job.

You are a college assistant coach and you don’t know the coaches or leadership of clubs you plan to recruit from?

Oh, like in Middle School when you tried to tell kids they couldn't sit at your table in the cafeteria because you thought you were one of the cool kids?
Now anyone who wants to see a schedule or watch a game is a Peeping Tom? OK buddy. Get over yourself. Actually, get over your kid. You haven't accomplished anything.

I know everyone. That’s not the point. I’m a college assistant and it isn’t my job nor do i have time to reach every MLS Next club on the eastern seaboard and make a spreadsheet and try to build a schedule and then keep up with any changes to times and locations. Yes. Correct. By the way, please let me know who your kid is so I can stay away from him.

There was a team that lost every game last season. That epic achieve is probably the reason for this. No one with that knowledge would recruit players there outside of maybe the goalkeeper.

So it’s true? College coaches do just wander fields looking for players?

Every club has their schedule. Reach out to the ones you need. Most of your recruits will come from relatively close by anyway.

Don’t potential recruits reach out to you? Don’t they provide video and upcoming game times with locations?

You’re in season right now anyway. Calm down and do your coaching job for the next month or so.

Can anyone understand what this person’s agenda is? I’m not understanding why he doesn’t want coaches going to watch games.

Coaches can get all of the schedules they need with an email. Do you want your child recruited by a lazy coach that participates on TS?

Again, what is your agenda? Why are you so vehemently against the MLS Next schedule being posted online like every other league in the world? Why do you not want college coaches to see the schedule and want them to have to do a bunch of work to get schedules? It makes no sense. The only possible thing I can think of is you are with the revs and don’t want your guys going the college route? I can’t think of any other incentives or reasons.

The other reason could be the huge discrepancy in club talent. It’s obvious at the NAL level u13/u14 and can only imagine it to be similar at the MLS levels too. Agree with the Revs comment too. Their recruiting seems to be a joke.

I suspect that his agenda could be that he is with Modular11, the system that has failed so badly here. Trying to buy time and make excuses to distract from his company’s failure. Just a guess, but that seems like a potential agenda.

Having a kid on a team that is often on the short end of a lopsided NAL game, I could not care less about the standings or scores being posted. Apparently these MLSN kids are so soft they need to be protected from such harsh judgement? Please. If there's a kid that soft, he won't last very long at the MLSN level. There's something else driving whoever is fighting so hard to keep these results from being posted. These crusaders are working harder to keep this basic info away from the public than the Templars do keeping the location of the Holy Grail secret. My guess is there's money involved somehow and people are doing the tired old dance of hiding behind "it's for the protection of the kids!" argument. I find it hard to believe someone at Revs worried about recruiting or someone at Modular11 would fight that hard, but those are as good as any other guesses I could come up with. Hard to figure who would try to argue something as dumb as "Insiders know how to get the schedules and no one else can have them."
