Looking for information about boys soccer. Is Class A much more competitive than Class B? What about leagues?

For Boys Class A is much more competitive soccer. You have quite a few potentially strong teams …some from the ISL,, the CT teams from the Founders League, NMH , WA. There are a few schools that typically yield strong teams like Rivers & Nobles in Class B. No offense to Brooks but I watched the Class B finals last year and the level of play was much lower and the pace was much slower than the.Class A final, That said there are some Class B teams that have competitive regular season schedules where they mix in a few class A opponents. There are also many Class B kids who go on to play at good colleges.

Pretty sure Rivers in Class B has the most college commitments. And South Kent in Class B has been the best team in New England over the past 10 years. I also think more professional players have come out of class B programs like Nobles, Rivers, Brooks, RL through the years. All of that said if every class A played every class B, I bet class A would win 60% and B would win 40%.

I believe amount of boys enrolled at school determines which Class a school competes in.

Exactly. Some of the Class B teams are top notch, like South Kent, Rivers, Nobles, Brooks

South Kent has since moved out of NEPSAC play (for reasons well spoken about in other threads). In many ways Class A and Class B schools are very comparable. In the ISL, for example, strong B schools such as Brooks, Rivers, RL, Middlesex (to an extent) run right alongside the bigger Class A schools such as St. Sebs, Milton, Belmont Hill, and Nobles. Class B schools, however, do have a cap to how many males can be enrolled at their school; whereas Class A are limitless, which allows for more teams in a school's 'program, potentially larger rosters, and potentially more international students.
