For parents getting upset about clubs playing top talent on B and C teams let it go. If you're not playing in a top level league it doesnt matter. Just focus on your kid having fun + learning how to play and get better. Being able to play against top talent every now and then is good for setting an expectation for what play on the top team is like.
This person has a point. If anything, it’s an opportunity to play against top talent who you otherwise wouldn’t have a chance to play against. What’s the point of beating up weak teams in RAL/NECSL? Wouldn’t you rather have the opportunity to play against some players from higher leagues?

It's embarrassing. I've seen a U11 team in a tournament losing and bring in 5 kids from a team 2 levels up for the final game while multiple players from the actual team played less than 20 minutes (my kid being one of them). This wasn't even to win a tournament, just to avoid losing all games in a tournament.

Sounds like your club should have played the "ringers" from the beginning.

It also sounds like your team was playing at a higher level then they should have be playing.

Unfortunately the reality is that the club obviously doesnt care about the players on your team. This is why some say playing "competitive" on the B or C or D teams is a money grab from clubs. They don't really care about these teams.

^I agree with this and will add that the reason they brought the ringers in was less to do with saving face by winning the game and more about giving more playing time to players that they value.

All clubs let the kids guest on other teams from the B,C, D teams. Sometimes not enough players, sometimes the players from B team didn’t get any real time off the bench so they play on the C team or play up one year but on a lower team. Nobody really cares, not even opponent coaches. Better players playing on a lower team helps the game pick up some speed. The national players in ECNL and GA don’t play down as they often are too busy, and some have ego.

They just list 25 kids on a roster, that won’t do anything to “check it”
