Top level teams are exclusive. Start early with a coach who has a goal to adapt, make changes when necessary and who works to keep evolving the team to the next level. U11-U12s look at who the top teams are and their you’ll see a coach with a plan. Time to try and jump in why you’ll have the chance,

I agree! as a young player you have to work your way up with a team and stick at it! the grass isnt always greener and very few move across into another clubs top team. sometimes for political reasons and the coach is happy with what they have.

My suggestion is to look at the leagues based on gender and age group you’re interested in. Then go attend a few of the games those top teams play. Check out the style of play, kids, coaching, and parents. All 4 are important aspects. Anyone who say one club over another is providing good guidance. Proper placement and development is most important. My kid plays on a top team and parents always ask me about the club. I alway go back to the previous 4 items to consider. These top teams are very committed to the game practicing 4 times a week, many travel nationally to compete in tournaments, etc. Lots to consider. Good luck.
