“pursue a potential professional opportunity” gives it all away, you are part of the con.
If there were say 3 teams in Eastern New England, and they played teams from elsewhere in the Northeast (like ECNL), it might make sense. 7 teams does not make sense.
If it were based on an honest assessment of their skills and potential, it might make sense. Instead, it’s just about filling up seven rosters.
Not every kid that steps on to a bigger stage (sorry, while probably a lot of fun, your HS is not a big stage) is going to ultimately make it. That fictional kid would not know if he had the "goods" had he not taken that opportunity. If it was the right decision for him, why are you bothered? Unless you are a HS coach dependent on a rich talent pipeline falling in your lap that has now gone dry, I am very confused as to why decisions these kids are making troubles you so much. LMK, I am genuinely curious.

2) The part of your post quoted above is exactly the rationalization for overselling what being on one of these teams can do for a kid. And it’s being sold to way too many boys. Presumably, that is what you tell yourself so you can sleep at night, and not think about how you are running a scam.
3) The right decision for him? Without looking at all the kids who go through the program, you have no idea of what the right decision was for kids. But you should.
4) If there was some honest assessment of the potential of kids at the front end of this program, it would be more than blowing smoke. But with 7 teams it’s a sales effort, not a soccer program.
and let me answer the best subjection you’re about to post, “ the only way they can find out if they have the goods just is to sign up.” Nope.

First, adding more teams doesn’t automatically add more high level talent or a large amount of additional commitments. It won’t be a whole lot different next year or the year after that.
Second, listing just nine commitments, as good as some may be, raises a question. What happened to all the other kids who went through their program, all the kids who started - where did they end up? That’s the only way to know whether these kids made “the right decision for them.”

The only fact known is those players are going to those schools. It's not even a known fact they wouldn't have gone to these schools had they not played Revs.

I was definitely discussing the fictious kid in my initial post. Not sure who you think I am, but I can assure you I am not that guy.
