Spot On,
Exactly why so many NE players choose Ivy
Agree. My kid was looking at Johns Hopkins, BU, Wake Forest, Smith, and Mass Bay CC, but we just said f-it and went to Harvard. Closer to home and easy to get into, and really affordable. Figured it was a good mix of all of them.

Thx for sharing. MBCC sticker price appears more affordable, but as you discovered Harvard came thru in the end. Glad you avoided Winston-Salem, not exactly a welcoming place for a poor, non-binary athlete. Smith would have been welcoming but lacks proximity to world-class affirmation procedures like JHU and Harvard.
Why is poster a DB for suggesting Ivy? no mention of his kd, so no brag there
Thread starter said his D is D1 level and has/seeks high academics, why is Ivy not a great option? especially for a MA family
Because Ivies aren't for everyone academically, socially or both

You def missed out on MBCC. My neighbors son’s girlfriend’s cousin plays there and although they don’t actually have a women’s team, she is still the lead scorer. Full ride.
D3 soccer is a part of your college experience. D1 soccer is your college experience.
And Ivy sits right in the middle. It's a part of your college experience, but because it's Ivy your college experience is just better. Never mind how wonderful things are post-college. It's really the only way to go. Local, cheap, and easy to get into - that's your Ivy experience waiting for you!
