If some uneducated soccer coach had told my teenage daughter she was fat I would be all over it.

My kids are 17, 16, and 14, and all are involved in club sports (soccer and b-ball). We have lived in several places over the last 10 years, so we have experience with clubs in 3 different states.
Coaches who cannot control their tempers, have tantrums, or are abusive (whatever term you are most comfortable with) are everywhere. The better the team, league, club, the more often this behavior seems to go on...and worst of all the more parents, coaches, clubs make excuses for such behavior all in the name of pushing the players.
Don't let the club feudes overshadow what is a very real problem in youth sports.
(P.S Maybe this should be a separate thread. )

And coming from a high school sophomore y'all are more immature than some of my fiends and they aren't even 16!!! Grow up have the best interest and your child and give it a rest. No one cares. The only way this will change is if some highly recruited player who the coach really doesn't feel they can live without and be successful steps up and says I'm leaving and taking five players with me if you don't change. This will never happen because unfortunately coaches don't often treat NT level players the same as they treat the others and it is a rare kid who will stand up to something based on principle when it could impact her own college hopes. Parents of these players are delusional in their thinking b/c it never happens to their kid so they easily write it off as an over reaction by lesser players or their parents. How great would it have been if the top recruits had taken a stand, and their business elsewhere. But that, sadly will never happen.
