New to club soccer. How long does it typically take a club to respond to you with an invite after tryouts? Do they usually send a email even if they didn’t make the team?

If they want you, they'll approach you during or after tryouts.
They might send you email later if they want you on a lower team.
If a couple days pass, you should move on.

^^^^ What he said. They want the roster filled asap so they can start collecting the cash. It's a business and they want paid.

Depends on age, team level and how many tryouts they have. I remember around U11 D moving to a "big" club but she had practiced with the team and they told her to come to the tryout. Her invite came a day after the first tryout session and by the second session, they already had moved the "A" team to their own corner. I think they added 1-2 more over the next few weeks after that at most.
Moving to ECNL, she was told the day she trained that they wanted her for the top team right after the training session (not an ID/tryout).
This is why its better to attend practices than tryouts.
