OP, I don't have much info on overnight camps. Many of them seem to have at least some inkling of a rec camp/day care feel and so we've avoided them. I'm guessing it will be hard to avoid that summer camp vibe and find a pure "hard soccer" overnight camp that isn't going to be expensive. Hopefully others in here can provide more help on that front than poster #2 here. One option you might consider if you can make it work would be day camps that might be more focused on the soccer part of soccer camp and less on the camp part. We've been happy with the Revs camps, especially their Elite Camp

You typed a lot, but also didn't provide anything worthwhile either, so there's that....

It is not the same, but playing pick up over the summer is valuable. Also, remember this is a marathon, not a sprint. Don't burn your kid out.

And instead of offering anything of value, you felt compelled to post that? Oh, thanks bud, we were all hoping you'd chime in. Thanks for being the first one in!

Fake.
A real parent knows having at least one kid they know going to the same camp is essential. No kid is going to camp on their own.

My daughter has done Berky camp multiple times, a few times us paying totally out of pocket and a few times for “free” as it’s offered for free to NEFC players at least certain locations.
I honestly don’t feel it’s worth the money and would not consider it a hardcore soccer camp.
great camp and blast per my D, but imagine there are better camps purely for soccer if that’s your motivation. Sadly I do not have recommendations but would say keep looking as if the focus is soccer there are other options and may be cheaper TBD

As for this camp or others? The soccer piece may not be top notch but they will play a ton with new players, different coaches. That's still beneficial. For kids of the right age being away from home is a benefit.
It comes down to what you want them to get out of it. If there are specific soccer-only goals then have the $ and have them look up online training and work on it. Or get a few kids to split sharing the cost of a private trainer.

100% what is said above - my D went one year without knowing anybody there period and had a blast. Another year went without knowing a single person, but was going with her future team who she didn't know anybody yet and it was great from that perspective - super focused Team bonding and really helped her find her way onto her new team. Other years she went with 1-2 friends.
Her energy and excitement telling me about it was the same each time... The only real negatives in general she had, was she wished there was more soccer and also the weather was crummy one year which resulted in them having to be bussed 45 minutes to fields each day and they barely got to swim in the lake.. (I do not believe they have onsite indoor facilities for soccer)
