Really can't blame NEFC. 4 or 5 solid players left their club over the last 12 months and 6 - 8 were moved down or didn't receive an offer. They had no choice but to submit to the demands of the momager or have a weaker team than they did this past season. The real struggle will be with some of the returning families thinking they are "in with the club", now having to submit to the new momager and the group she brought over. If she doesn't get her way, Stars will be waiting as their next stop.

10 remain from this year's roster, 2 left for ECNL, not sure about the other 6.

This is a somewhat misleading statement.
If they left for Stars, they were looking to move up.
If they left for Scorpions, they were cut and trying to just find something.

There are lots of kids with potential at this age. The few that people get most excited about are the ones with outstanding early athleticism or who score tons of goals against the weak opposition they are mostly facing up till now. See if this stays the same over the next few years or when they play tougher teams.

You mean like the Select 2011 "superstar" that took the field against the 2010 NEFC GA team and was completely, utterly, entirely invisible and ineffective? Its just so sadly easy to get excited when a player is an early developer doing "awesome" against inferior competition...

Bingo. I couldn't care less about SSS politics. What was shown on the field that day did not support any 2011 playing up. And didn't help SSS against NEFC at all. Hype all you want, that is all it is. Or at least all it was that day.
