Sell me on the Program? Why should I sign with XXXX

Let's hear it! What are some of the outrageous promises owners and coaches have made to your player?

I have been given no promises. I have no idea what league or team my kid is going to be on.

Only things we were promised were:

          * If you (your kid) puts in the work, they will get better
          * Our club has relationships with many colleges, and if you are a candidate we will ensure they see you play

Anyone selling anything beyond that is lying.

Well I'm sorry to inform you that promise number one is a flat out lie. Nobody can guarantee that.

We will take your slow, clumsy little runt and develop them into a Mia/Messi in a matter of a few years. Just pour lots of $$$ into the till.

We are with Stars. No promises. Just a contract telling us the team kid is on. Accept or decline the offer. No big deal. If you are offered anything more than a one year contract you are being offered snake oil. Many kids ready to take your kids spot. Work hard, don’t be entitled.

Disagree. #1 puts the onus on the player. If a player puts in the work they will get better no matter the club.

Brother in law's family in CT... ECNL club there did it to their older son. 3 years later, they did it to their younger son. Thankfullly they're all out of sons because i think it would have taken them at least 3 times to figure it out.

Why don’t you start and be sure to mention the club, year of the team, owner, coach, etc. Go ahead and let people know if you want to have a topic like this.

Someone told you your kid was slow and clumsy? Finally some honesty.

Every coach/ owner tries to sell something, if not your kid isn’t good enough for them to bother!
