ECNL Contracts Yesterday

Another post mentioned that ECNL contracts went out yesterday. Can folks confirm it was National ECNL and all age groups? ECNL contracts usually come out later if they went out yesterday we need to decide if we should take another offer.

Forgive my ignorance, new soccer parent here. Their website says tryouts are hold on end of May, how could they do that even before tryout?

Typically existing players don't try out. If you are a starter, you will almost always get an offer before tryouts. Normal practice with all clubs.

At least 90% of roster spots are locked up prior to any tryout. By the time try-outs roll around, all current players on the roster either already have an offer or know they aren't getting one.

Top players from other clubs will not use try-outs (or even ID clinics) to make a team. They will directly email the coach and attend 1-3 practices, sometimes more. This generally starts in April, but this year it started early during the winter months.

Tryouts are only meant to fill lower level teams.
