    Non-bladed cleats for turf

There was a recent post about turf that I can't seem to find that listed a number of non-bladed cleats that work on turf and allow for a more natural movement of the leg/knee. It would be much appreciated if someone might list a few of the cleats that fit this type. Thank you.

        Artificial Grass

Not much available domestically. Look for the UK based stores like prodirect UK or Unisport

Also some makers have cleats labeled MG (Multi-Ground) that work well, too,.

The Nike MG (the box is marked MG/FG) cleats work pretty well on a variety of surfaces. It's a good option. But there are some blades. Photo of cleat pattern at this link.

You can order some of the Nike cleats (like that one at that link) customized which lets you can choose the Plate used - FG, AG or TF. Click Design Your Own, at the next page scroll down and click Customize, along the right find the Plate choice, look for the colors that are labelled AG-R (not FG or TF). More studs, smaller studs, no blades. It seems to work fine on wet artificial grass too.

It takes about a month so maybe a little late for this season.

And of course you want to be sure about sizing before ordering.

I did the custom Nike with AG plates. It’s basically the same cost as the FG model. The only issue is waiting 3 weeks for them to arrive. My D forgot them once and wore her bladed FGs and said she could really feel the difference in bite. Maybe mental but she said she finally realized why AG on turf is better.

The FG cleats seemed to have longer studs than the MG or AG, from what I recall.
