Yes, I very much doubt JD is directly involved with 6 age groups, across 2 essentially different clubs, as well as running the entire club as President, as well as being personally involved in the college recruiting scene for 80+ kids at any point in time.

GB proved right off the bat that pay to play was the new ballgame. Just ask the 07 Blue girls. Ask the BBN families.
Are you saying BBN is not good? Are you saying that GB should have kept the underperforming 2007 team intact when he took over? Or are you suggesting that in addition to being good, GB requires bribes? Sounds like sour grapes.

Dealing with the politics and pay-per-play culture at Blue is difficult.
Dealing with White is off the table.
We saw a few GA players at our practices who were not offered spots.

His ability to help with recruiting is made easier by being involved and up to date on the teams. Maybe not for 6 age groups but for the recruiting years at least. Although we do see him on the sidelines for U12, U13 and U14 as well as the recruiting year teams. Hard to discuss a kid if you don't know them.

He helps recruit for White as well as Blue. I have seen him after a Blue game, where he coached it, talk to a White player that his team just played against to update them on a conversation he had with a school she was interested in. I don't know him, but like him or not his opinion does carry weight in the college community.

Or they were offered spots and declined.

Not every Stars parent wants to hear the spiel that their kid should sign up for the 60k/year high school experience...cough, cough.

I don't think anyone is arguing otherwise. But its absurd to expect anyone to be able to "give input" to 12 team rosters and all the recruiting and tryouts that go with that, along with providing college support for 80+ kids, along with being president of the club.

Do parents who think JD's influence on Blue is significantly less than GB's are fairly justified in that.

FYI. There are BBN kids on white, and there are kids on Blue at public schools

Not to lay blame at any individuals, but collectively before your team was 'blown up', were you performing up to expectations?

They went to practices to try to make a team and then declined to come to the team they were trying out at?

There isn't. It's just another Stars hate thread. If a player isn't cutting it on Blue why should they get to keep their spot? If they're cut then they probably were barely playing and moving to a better fit for them - either to Stars White or elsewhere - is better for them in the long run

Should Stars have two teams? Of course not, but it is what it is. PDA shouldn't either, but they do. Both are top clubs and their B teams still do very well with recruiting - and that's what keeps the paying customers coming through the doors.
