    "It's not a failure, it's a step to success"

"Michael Jordan played for 15 years and won six championships. Were the other nine years a failure? It's the wrong question. There's no failure in sports."

    -Giannis Antetokounmpo

"What Antetokounmpo said was fantastic. I think in 100% the same way as him.

"In sport you can't talk about failure, and in life you can't talk about failure. Failure is when you don't try to do something as well as you can. When you try to do your best, you have a clear conscience, and that's never a failure, not just in sport but in life."

    -Carlo Ancelloti

"My kid's team is the greatest and all the rest of you wish you were as good as hers. Looks like another tough weekend for you all. Good luck in that crappy league built for a bunch failure."

Yes but Giannis Antetokounmpo is only talking about the NBA. He doesn’t know anything about the pathway. If he had kid on Stars Blue, he’d get it. No failure, only excuses.

True. And, of course, by ignoring Carlo Ancelloti you exposed yourself......

One could make the argument that their points don't hold true at the professional level as they are paid to perform. At the youth level though?

Clearly this Ancelloti person has no idea what he's talking about. What's he ever done in the game? Never heard of him. He have a kid on Juventus or something?

I’m a big Giannis fan, but getting smoked by the not-very-good Heat in 5 is most definitely a failure.

                You’re a loser. Exclamation point.

Does anyone put team results above everything else in youth soccer? if your child gets 10 mins a game and the team wins, are you happier than 60 mins a game and a draw or loss? Real teams with collective consequences are all about winning titles. Its how they are measured. Youth soccer is about individuals and the collective is usually secondary.
