    That sounds about right.

(94 ECNL Clubs Nation wide 94 * 18 players per team (a lot have bigger rosters) = 1,692 girls per year. There are only 69 Power 5 conference women's soccer teams. How many girls do you think they bring in every?
You're insuferable. It doesn't matter if they are good or bad. They are ECNL. Kapeesh?

Your math is a little off. There are 10,600 women playing D1 soccer alone, then there's also D2 and D3 with similar numbers. Yes some ECNL players wind up at D3s but many do that by choice. This small state will only have a few wind up at Power 5 programs but that leaves another 255+ D1 programs. If Familes are happy with the outcome, what's the beef?

The beef is that RL Northeast teams in MA are not going to be a place to play competitive soccer.

But it’s an excellent way to light some cash on fire, which some parents seem to want to do. Which would be fine if it wasn’t also burning up their kids time and energy, which they will never get another chance to do again.

You have it flipped. It’s kids who want to expend the time and energy, and parents light their cash on fire. It’s what parents do. It’s called parenting. Enjoy it

It’s a parents choice if they as you said want to light cash on fire. You could probable say that about some parents who sign their kids up to play club soccer. They are RR just burning their money for what?

Please explain what you mean by the kids burning their time and energy? Weekdays I’m assuming most clubs practice the same amount of times per week so that’s a wash no matter what club you are at.
Please explain what else a kid would be doing instead of traveling to play soccer that they are missing?
When looking at the RL schedules looks like those teams actually have more weekends off than local clubs.

You sold me coach. Where do I sign up for ECRL 2? Seems like a great opportunity

ECRL2 and GA rising is more watering down. Would be better for the teams in ECRL2 and GA RISING to just all be in DPL. These two spin offs are just money grabs to keep gullible parents on the hook.

Not so much watering down (there aren't going to be more teams) but shuffling the deck chairs into new groups under new umbrellas. You are right that many of these teams would be better served in other leagues with less cost and travel. If families start to walk then it may not work.

Yup and there's nothing wrong with that, as long as they don't think these new leagues will somehow turn their kids into college players.

Parenting is guiding your child to spend their time and energy where it is going to be in their long-term interest.

                              Short- and long-term.

Ignore the short-term, and you'll lose them for the long-term Tiger Mom.

Raise your kids to be bright, respectful, well-rounded leaders who can thrive and succeed both as an individual, AND in a team environment.

We're big believers in exposing ours to as much as possible and as they get older see what they gravitate too. Sports, other activities, travel...ok you tried baseball and weren't in love with it? Done. This one loves yennis? Let them run with it. Their interests and passions change over time, and will continue to change into college and beyond, but they do figure it out. The ultimate goal is they turn into good caring people with careers they enjoy.
