Nice job trying to sneak that into a conversation about merging leagues.

I suppose it is based on the birth year. Maybe 2008 is true? Because anything younger regularly gets embarrassed when trying to play ECNL or GA teams. Reference the results from NEFC Thanksgiving tourney.

Honestly, there is one team that is an exception because it's an old GPS elite team. And the parents of that team use this exception to try to prove the rule.

It’s obviously true with 2008 with surf and Aztec. The 2010 Liverpool impact just played 3 ECNL teams and tied two of them. The 2011 juventus and surf teams have beaten ECNL and academy teams. The 2007 Aztec team has beaten multiple ECNL and academy teams. That’s a fact, not an opinion.

Your 2010 Liverpool team lost to a 2011 pre-GA team last Nov.

Maybe let at least a year pass before you try to start bragging again?

So you will just overlook the 2007,2008 and 2011 examples ? Liverpool lost to the select academy. That team is awesome so no shame there. Unfortunately this year that team lost to a surf 2011 team further proving my point. ECNL is still the best so please do not get too upset but maybe just take the L here and move on.

Is this league as strong as DPL?

Liverpool 2010 Impact lost to NEFC 2011 pre-GA. This is the NEFC 2011 pre-GA team that lost to Select 2011 pre-GA by at least 6 goals. That should start to give you an idea of where your "top" 2010 Impact team really sits. Or at least be enough to shut up some of this constant bragging about how "great" 2010 Impact players are.

Which ECNL teams did they play? They didn’t play either of the Stars teams, and that leaves one in state. Are you confusing ECNL with ECRL?

ECNL teams at Jeff Cup. Not all ECNL clubs across the country have strong teams at this age group.

For reference. Liverpool played in the 6th division at Jeff Cup. Stars White was in the 2nd.

Division 6. Playing against the mighty Pittsburgh Riverhounds from the ferocious Ohio Valley conference. Wow.

Explains a little while the guy in the 2010 thread thinks Liverpool
has such talent. He just assumed all ECNL teams are
equal. Just doesn’t know what he doesn’t know.

The liverpool guy is looking at rankings and he’s ranked high for an impact team. But I have watched that team play they have two good players that could go out for Scorpions ECNL, but so does Surf RI and Select Impact. scorpions ECNL should be seeing 6-8 kids at their practices this week between them. Unless Scorpions cancelled like Select Impact this week.

If the top couple players from Liverpool, Select, Aztec Impact teams heading to ECNL and GA teams, I know of a few, then the current strong Impact teams weaken as they pull up from their lower teams. If the middle to upper players leave their Impact teams for ECRL, also heard about a few, then the Impact teams again become weaker. This is also the time when 13/14 year old girls walk away from club soccer to focus on different sports,(LAX, Hockey, Basketball) and just become burnt out from soccer. Others say, why bother it’s too much with middle school, jv and varsity soccer around the corner.
So with all that’s going on with impact do we really feel the 2009 and 2010 and upcoming 11s are going to stick around for those ? Watered down Leagues? Why not just play competitive town and school soccer for next to nothing and go on family trips. I’d be shocked to see impact families with kids in the middle to top of roster stick around if they are able to make ECNL, GA, ECRL or even DPL.

Players leave those teams each year..:this years players will leave early because they were planning too and late because their league is going away. Pick your path.
