heard select is trying to bring back maple. They were once in control in maple.

GA then…pre-GA (with empty promises to practice with GA once a week) who will compete in top of NECSL if they don’t get DPL.

What do the Impact parents think of the league being watered down next year and likely fading out. Is Select trying to get DPL for their second teams (impact blue). Or are they just going to compete in NECSL top bracket?

Impact parent and my concern is it NOT fading out and instead being filled with even worse teams. Do not have any need to go 10-0 and never have a close game. Hoping our club goes crawling back to DPL. I’ll take a .500 season and close games every weekend over more watered down crap. 2 of the first 3 games we’ve played this season were horrendous and the 3rd wasn’t much better. My daughter isn’t learning anything about playing tough opponents.

It will be filled with worse teams. If select fills the gap adding a third team and the other clubs add more teams it will be a weak mismatched mess. The top half of the teams who keep the games close are totally playing at a different level.

We lived that life for a while, it can be worse than losing a lot. Select and Aztec owe it to the players they've pleaded to stay to do better by them.

Funny thing is, coaches of our Impact team haven’t mentioned any changes or updates regarding Impact and teams included next year. My guess is we get another impact offer when offers come out and parents will just sign the contract with no idea of what could lie ahead.

Sure. Not that easy at U17 though, to find the right team at the right level. The national teams are too much money for me, the regional teams aren’t great. Possibly a strong DPL team is the best option if they have space. If my kid was middle school age or even a freshman, yes. More time to get it sorted out.
