Surely FO could find other ways to pass time in the game besides score endless goals... like possessing the ball. Or is that a foreign concept to him? The least he could do is let the people who don't play much play (didn't see the game, have no idea if he did or didn't do this).

        Ha. That's a good one.

Last year's U12 Blazers, yes. This year's version, which didn't even make it into MAPLE Blue? Not so much.

I believe there was a very good reason why teams were broken out into different divisions to start..............
The fact that they were from different divisions makes the inexcusable even less so.

If you're playing U10 and you have no way to measure the opponent, I can understand a quick start and overwhelming the opposing team, but even then, there is no reason whatsoever to get into double-digits.

Any coach of youth players that doesn't know how or doesn't want to make adjustments to focus on development when the competition is so far over shouldn't be near the touchline.

This was worth a chuckle or three~

Almost impossible to say at this age level, since most of the better MAPLE teams play 11v11 and the NEP teams play 8v8, so they don't play each other. No one really knows.

NEFC, STARS, Western United, Aztecs (the U12's that play up in U13 NEP)

Hopefully they will play in some tournaments against each other this spring (NEFC, Manhattan)

IMO it is better for the players at U12 to play 8 v 8.

MAPLE has begun that transition to 8v8, but is there a stated plan/timeframe to get rid of the 11v11 at U12? I'm curious to hear from any of those parents close to the situation, have any of the clubs placed their better teams in the 8v8 divisions or has it been new or lower teams?

Seems like more and more teams are playing up, not just players. That's a conversation all to its own...

But doesn't MAPLE have restrictions on the number of players a club can play up or the number of players on a team's roster being limited? I've always wondered about that.
