Dad's Know Best

All us Dad's know we're the best sideline coaches don't we? I'm constantly getting told by my daughter that I'm "annoying" at the games. I'll reply: "that's it I'm done going to them" her counter: "Never Happen". She's right.

I have a term for that with my daughter who's now in HS (not just applying to me of course). We share many laughs about it.

The "shut up" moment. Usually happens around U10 to U12...and hopefully it is a first and only awakening moment. That's not always the case though.

I've been able to witness it numerous times with parents of other players on my younger kid's teams...having endured that moment myself years ago.

Haha, Well at least I'll have some fun now that my daughter is graduating and will playing in college, and after talking to some of the girls at one school "all the dad's are the same". But they did also said the dads usually tailgate before, something I couldn't do at her High School. Looking forward to that next fall.
