What you are forgetting is that colleges nowadays want to avoid bad PR and they are protecting their interest at any cost. There are so many of them out there and the main and most important thing is filling up their dorms.
What is the percentage of stars players in college comparing to the rest of all other players in college? Small right? The late "women's soccer college bad news" is too much of commotion for such small percentage.

Please, stop posting. I'm embarrassed for you. Colleges take transfers every year, and even ones who have had a scrape or two. You can't fill up the dorms as you put at most schools with perfect kids. And there aren't kids a dime a dozen out there that can do what SM can do. She made a social media mistake. It shouldn't be minimized like so many have here the past 2 days, but on the other hand and in the big scheme of things it's not that big a deal. She'll start the first game next year and score 1-2 goals. End of story.

I spoke with my college aged daughter about this incident. She was not at all surprised by the remarks due to SM's history. My child played against her several times over the course of 6 or so years and she found her to be vile and cruel on the field; attacking opposing player's personal issues, repeatedly insulting their body types, and even attacking another player's sexuality.

This person is old enough to vote and make decisions that impact other lives (very scary) and a young adult should know better. What a shame; all that high priced schooling and ISL education and she will be known for being a classless, perverted little diva.

The church is going to busy in this household this beautiful Sunday morning.

It is unfortunate that some of the sanctimonious posters ANONYMOUSLY attacking college age kids don't spend more time there.

Please folks - just try to be better than you are now. Retribution from pent up anger over teenage antics (from long ago and today) should embarrass you. You should be ashamed. Think about what you presumably taught your children about class and forgiveness and think about what you are doing.

Now don't respond with "but she did such and such" - if you believe you are better than her, act like it.

They gave a home to a local kid who could not live in his own home. I never understood the situation completely because they did not speak of it freely, but they opened their home to him and he lived there as another son and attended school while he was working things out with his family. I know it was not easy but they cared about him and went above and beyond to help him through a difficult situation.

That's all I need to know - true compassion and charity. Quite different from what one reads here.

I think there was a movie about this- it was called "The Binky Side", or something like that.

Why anyone on either side of this argument wants to make this about the parents (or the Stars or her BC coach) is beyond me. This kid has always been a foul mouthed brat and got away with it because she is a great soccer player- most dangerous 1 v 1 offensive player I have ever seen from around here. She went too far this time and has been appropriately disciplined in my book.

The people defending her on here are morons and enablers and hopefully at some point, the young woman will realize that Stephanie being Stephanie is not going to cut in the real world.
