Knights 4, AV 3. Knights had to come back to win. Knights looked like the better team overall, generating more chances. AV took advantage of opportunities and could win if they meet again in state cup.

AV is last place in Region 1. What happened to the AV technically and competitively one of the best teams in the regoin (self proclaimed by the coach)?
They added quite a few players this season but the results are not indicative of the adds. After a while, if you have solid players on the team and you are still not winning, it comes down to the coaching..........

Interesting note that they added several players. We have to assume this was done in an effort to be competitive as they stepped up in class to Region I Premier. Watching them, their center forward stands out. After that, you notice the center back because of his height. The others look interchangably good.

In other clashes among the contenders:
Blazers 0, WUP red 0
Blazers 3, CU 0
WUP red 2, Knights 1
One game remaining between contenders before group play: AV vs Blazers next Sunday.

Problem lies in that AV took their bragging rights to a new level. Proclaiming themselves the best team in Massachusetts. Might still be on their website. Used this team to show how they develop players although much of this team had been recruited. Then to top it all off, they took players onto their team and then after the season began told them that they did not have a full time roster spot and that they were alternates. What the heck is that ?? Don't rob a kid of a place to play if you don't intend to play them. As if sitting on the bench for a team that has not been able to win a game in the Premier league is an honor !!

So much inconsistency with teams like Knights, Crusaders and WU. All of them are really good when they play really good, which isnt every game. Saw the Crusaders - Blazers game. I wouldnt be surprised if Crusaders blame the field and the only one ref (Blazers first goal was offsides). With that being said, Blazers were the better team.

I thought the first goal could either way, in fact I thought he was a little onside and I don't think the ref should be to blame for missing the numerous close calls, in fact I actually thought he did a good job. Field conditions weren't that good either but that should never be used for an excuse. Overall the game was competitive but Blazers just took their chances better. Neither team really dominated possession but Blazers did a better job with their possession, would definitely love to see a rematch.
Really looking forward to the round robin.
