Where did some of the knights top players go? They were not rostered in NY last weekend?

All their top players still with them plus added a few bolts players, LM, SB, AK
Team should be improved from last year, so let's see if last year was fluke or not

Crusaders United should do well at Jefferson. They're in the second group, and all opponents are ranked below them.

Sure enough, Crusaders United won their 2 games so far. Even if they win today it wouldn't be enough to pass Blazers.

Abbey Villa have a loss and tie at Annandale, so they won't be moving up.

The other side of that would be that 6 or 7 of the top 10 play in New England Premiership. Also Benfica moved their top team to NEP, and the merged Western United Pioneers have their top team in NEP and 2nd team in maple d1. Crusaders United may only have a couple challenging matches in league play, whereas Blazers at least have Region I Northeast League.

Sub regional league is not very competitive, so much competition anywhere for Blazers. Not sure how AV made premier league and Blazers are in Northeast.

Probably because AV beat Blazers in the Northeast league final last season 1 - 0. Blazers is clearly the better team. AV choked at Annandale in spite of the self proclaimed great AV coach's abilities and all the players he stole...........

Seacoast Benfica won 2 and WUP won and tied in northeast regional league play today. Knights won 2 and Crusaders United won and lost in NEFC tournament today.

Funny way to put this. I guess you forgot to mention that the Crusader's loss was a spanking it got from Knights - 4-0.

Crusaders United had chances and Knights keeper made a pair of excellent saves. CU has some speedy attackers, advanced the ball wide and played many crosses. Knights passing was superior and directly generated their goals. Maybe not the spanking that final score suggests.

Wasn't a spanking until after the second goal, it was a really competitive game until then.

Knights were plain and simple the better team on the field. They always seemed to be a step or two faster than the CU players. It'll be a much different game when they play again in the state cup, I'm sure.

Will CU be helped by their mild competition (just 2 challenging games, vs Blazers and Abbey Villa in maple league) between now and state cup, or harmed?

NEFC did have a good weekend. But totally different level of play........... The opponents were not as strong. Played and defeated FSA White, not Blue..........etc. Defeated MPS Crusaders and not CU..........
