Crusaders United (going in, GotSoccer #41 in Region I) beat Empire (#33) 2-1, tied Eastern Blues (#36) 3-3, beat Bayport Lightning (#25) 1-0, and beat Massapequa Arsenal (#17) 1-0. That will probably move them to 1st or 2nd in Mass.
WUP also did well, enough to move into 3rd in Mass. when this week's update is completed. Impressive performance that will make State Cup even more to look forward to.

I'm pretty sure western was already ranked #3 heading into the tournament.

Also for what it's worth, Empire was #1 in NYW. I believe in the finals they played #5 in NYE.

Don't you remember? Our kids are the ones who couldn't make a DAP roster, so we have to slog along and wait to be a starter at a good D3 while the DAP grads are sitting on the bench.

I know several players playing on good u17 club teams that could easily make DAP...but in the end they will end up at the same college, and not go pro. Isnt the whole idea to use soccer to get into a better college, to get into a opportunity for a career?

Blazers also had a very strong showing in Pennsylvania this weekend, defeated #21 in the country, also jumped above the knights in Massachusetts

Looks like the new Crusaders team has earned them a spot at the top, I guess they just really improved or brought in new players? and did Blazers bring in new players? Can't wait for Blazers to meet Crusaders in Maple or wherever

Probably a bit of both, they added 3 players I think, goalie and 2 forwards.

Prior to state cup, next logical event where all of the big 5 should enter is nefc preseason showcase March 15-17. Along with mps thanksgiving, it's the top tournament in new england.
