It's called the Region 1 Northeast league.

final was 4-2. knights would be the current state champs, not former. cu scored mostly on excellent shots from outside, and keeper played well. knights showed a bit more skill, possession, etc.

Which keeper? Don't they have 2 now?

I think possession was slightly in the favor of knights, but with that game it was all with who had momentum. Knights have one of the better offenses in mass, but their defense was reduced to nothing with crusaders 3 in the middle playing well and their lone forward.

NOT responding to my own post. There is a big difference. SUB region does not get an automatic berth in the Regionals after State Cup. Did you see AV playng in PA last year? NO...... Get your leagues straight......

Anyone that knows this team knows the majority of kids have been with it since U11/U12. Some of these kids that have played with them since U-little that they "never developed" are now State and EM all stars. In addition to winning Region 1 last year.
And you are not an ANONYMOUS poster? Is ANONYMOUS your first or last name or both? They DID NOT win Region 1. What a laugh. If DR wants a seat at the table, it's got to be better than winning SUB REGION........ They did not even get to the final 4 for State Cup last year........wh all the "Home Grown" talent.......

Yes, they developed all those players except: TW, CD, AS, EK, JC, RS, JK, JP, MS, DH. All of whom left NEFC. And guess when that team starting winning, and guess who all the starters are? Yup, not all that home grown talent. With all that said, the team is for real, they have a great chance of going far into state cup this year. Just don't use it to prove that what you are doing at U11 will make you into players of this caliber.

Let's not forget LR, RC, GA also not developed who came from elsewhere and not "homegrown". That adds up to 13 of the entire team just to name a few........ More than half the team.......

You have a ridiculous sense of development. Most of these kids have played with AV for 4-6 years. If team development to you is only when the majority of kids start with a team at U9 than I am not sure there are any teams that are going to meet that standard.

However, Abbey Villa is promoting this team as home grown. What they did was to take advantage of a change in coaching to knock on doors and offer players at U14 a "good deal" to come over as a team. Not much different than all the other big clubs that DR speaks poorly about. DR has done well by this team and they deserve the credit they have earned but Abbey Villa bought this team, sent better than half of their existing team to the B level and then started winning games and promoting his club. Not much different than any other club except that he brags that he does not do this.

Not all scores reported from MPS tourney, but Western drew Bulldogs and have serious test vs FSA navy today. Blazers have wins v Aztec and a lesser Conn team.

Western beat FSA Navy to top B bracket. Blazers swept C bracket. Crusaders United won A bracket, with Knights 2nd. Abbey Villa went to a minor tourney in Conn. the previous weekend and won it. It would seem all 5 of these confirmed that they're the primary State Cup contenders.

Agreed. So DR should stop trying to take credit that this team is home grown...... Lets see what he can do with the other teams in his club once this U17 team moves on to college.......
