Can anyone provide some details on the Valeo facilities in Newton? I've only seen the outdoor turf, and it's been a while. IIRC, the turf was a little older and getting worn. What's the inside facility like? Is it a full field? 7v7? 9v9? 11v11? Do they have strength & fitness training too? I thought I saw something years ago about weight training and fitness monitoring and testing technology. And what's the relationship with the school there. Does Valeo rent from the school or own the facility? Does Valeo share use of the facility with the school?

Anything new on Valeo? We're practicing with them as a tryout for next year, but they are at the bottom in both MLS and NAL. We can live with a losing team, but if they are an organizational mess we will look somewhere else. The best theories on here about them are that their best teams were taken to by BF and JB to IFA and Surf and CS has them a disorganized mess still unable to recover 3-4 years later. Is that about it? Does anyone have anything good to say about them? Coaching? Development? Culture?

It is nice to hear that “we” can live with a losing team.

Valeo is run like a professional club, albeit extremely disorganized. The goal is to create a professional player every few years. The goal is not to make competitive u15 teams. They have good principles of play, produce technically sound players, and won't sell your non-Revs MLS Next player on playing soccer past high school - because they won't.
