What people don't understand about Stars Blue 2010 is that there's certain issues that aren't be solved just by throwing more talent at the problem.
If parents and coaching are the issue it won't matter how good individual players are when going for wins at the national level.
Yes more talent will win locally but that's not where Stars wants to compete.
The Stars White parents are appropriately pointing out that they shouldn't be punished for doing well just because Blue parents think they should be the winners.
Stars Blue needs to pubically drop some of the dead weight and problem parents, look more closely at coaching (is a change justified?). Once those pieces are addressed start "recruiting" from White while not just assuming that White players want to play for a Blue team that losses.

you can blame parents for playing the politics game, But that only goes so far when it’s the coaches that invite it.

That’s where change needs to start.
The problem is blue culture.

We have had experience with our 3 daughter on blue ECRL and ECNL teams and I have to say it’s been good.

We are with Blue so we know a bit about the “culture.” Is there some favoritism? Sure, yes. Not so much politics but coaches on all teams both national and regional have favorites. Some of those players are absolutely the best player on the team with best attitude and shows up at every practice. A true leader. Of course they are favored. Then there are those who seem to remain on the roster season after season but never showing up to winter trainings and it’s evident soccer isn’t their first priority. Of course parents wonder why? Is there a soft spot for this player for a reason we have no clue? Does it mean anything that this family is wealthy, some would say yes. No clue. That’s the only politics as you call it. It’s more like coach favoritism. Where some hard working talented players are clearly overlooked due to being in the middle of the pack and honestly many are on the smaller side. As for the culture, I’ve always found both national teams to be very intense and a high level of commitment and expectations on the players. Some would call it cut throat. it’s expected. It isn’t about individual player development at the national level it’s about putting together the best combination of players that week to get the job done. Less team building more ego. If you don’t want that, the best player development happens on the regional teams where players have very high expectations but the coach is focused on team and individual development. Less turnover of players and more focus on getting players to their absolute highest potential. Players and coaches of regional teams know there is less than a 5% chance of a player moving to national so the goal isn’t national focused it’s getting each player to the best they can be and help them get a spot on a D3 or even D2 roster if it’s on their reach.

BBN Parents.
Wealthy parents.
Team manager mommy.
Players mommy is a stars coach.
Private lessons for thousands of dollars.
The list seems to not ever end, except when you get to merit. It ends right before that.

GB definitely favors certain kids for reasons that have nothing to do with their talent or impact on the game. You can see the difference when JD coaches the same players. He is perfectly willing to pull off team managers daughter or daughter of entitled influential parents with older sisters at the club because they're not getting the job done. There are kids starting on GB's teams who don't deserve their spots.

Blue culture and NEFC 2011 culture . Everything wrong with club soccer . Your kids aren’t that special. Take a thrive hour drive down south and you’re in a completely different world of soccer.
