No poaching. Parent group went shopping for a better long term situation for their kids. Ended up at NEFC.

Two good teams? They had State Blue. What was the other 2011 team that had top players that would make the NEFC GA team?

Imo Surf let a good thing get away with their 2011's from last year. The best players from those two teams were going to be merged into their top team for u13 and would have competed for the top of the dogpile with the SSS and Stars teams. But by U13 parents start to worry about "pathways" and Surf only being able to offer DPL wasn't enough for some of the families. So a handful (not all) of the Surf players went to NEFC. Will be interesting to see where NEFC GA ends up relative to a still pretty strong Surf team.

Metro South Navy was the other good team; they had a couple of departures to NEFC GA and Scorpions ECNL.

That team is now disbanded; the girls who stayed at Surf got dispersed into the different State teams (including backfilling for State Navy's NEFC departures). So State Navy could definitely still be a strong team this year.

My kids team (ECNL North Atlantic Conference team) is heading to the SUSA Columbus Day tournament this year. Any New England teams heading to the same tournament?
For a change, it would be interested to see matchup between 2011 North Atlantic Conference power houses (PDA, Penn Fusion, Match Fit ..) and their ECNL New England conference counterparts.

Is this a joke? Or some sort of Surf propaganda? The Metro South surf team played in a mid-tier 2010 necsl bracket last year and finished about .500. They were not a strong team. And they definitely didn't have multiple players join nefc ga. State Navy is not going to be any good this year. The one decent player they have left is probably going to play up with the 2010s anyway.

Yikes! OK, someone has strong feelings about Surf here. Most people seemed to think the old Juve DPL team was decent; they lost to Surf MS Navy more often than not last year. Not the deepest roster, but there were a few other girls beyond the ones who left for NEFC and Scorpions who could definitely compete for national team spots if they chose to do so.

Okay, surf dad. They beat juve dpl one time at a pre-thanksgiving tournament. They also lost to many mediocre teams last year, including the bolts metro north team and multiple terrible 2010 teams. Your kid is definitely a superstar though.

There’s that famous TS joie de vivre. Gonna be a fun season!

They were a very strong u12 team playing in a U13 bracket of NECSL. As a regional team, they went their separate ways onto other state and national teams. A handful moved up to the top surf team, others to NEFC GA and and Scorps ECNL. The ones who went to surfs top team probably would have taken your daughter's spot so you should be happy they didn't come to your club.

Why do you care so much about a u12 team playing in NECSL? That’s not that different from town travel soccer. If they’re so good, why don’t they play in a higher league? There’s like 5 of them
