Surf won’t be able to keep the best players and the team will be left far lower in the rankings. Later on, older, best teams matter because they are a combination of all the best players.

What happens if Juve folds, where do those girls fit in? If SSS and Surf send their best to Blue then where do those who are displaced go?

See how that says exactly nothing. At least add an opinion or something

The Surf and Select kids that will inevitably move to blue will fill out a larger roster for 11v11. Many of the lower kids on blue will get displaced. Just like every other birth year before them.

Those clubs will have more mediocre teams spaced throughout the lower levels. Juve’s status will not affect GA and ECNL teams at all. Kids bound for that path would have left Juve anyways.

2011 - Select and Stars Blue
2010 - Stars White and Stars Blue
2009 - Select and NEFC
2008 - Stars Blue and NEFC
2007 - Stars Blue and NEFC
2006 - NEFC and Select
Seems pretty spread out to me.

NEFC doesnt hold a candle to SSS in 09. (played against both). would love to see Blue play SSS 09 with the aformentioned. would actually drive to see it. would be a great game . my thought would be in a seven game series blue wins 4-3 , all 1 goal games.

And before you say "Stars will never let that happen," maybe take a look at the role the Surf mothership in San Diego plays in ECNL.

Those girls and the Select girls and anyone else who might have thought about driving all the way to Lancaster just for the badge are going to just drive past Newton every day? Surf will pull everyone from the area east of 495. Stars will be left recruiting from Western MA and Worcester. Can't even imagine what will happen to Scorpions. Maybe they'll just give the Scorps badge to Surf.
